Resumes

Write resume bullet points that show impact

Turn duty lists into clear accomplishment statements using action verbs and honest specifics.

Start with an action verb

Lead with what you did: organized, built, resolved, trained, reduced, launched. Avoid starting with "Responsible for".

Add the result or the scope

Answer "so what?" A useful pattern: action + task + result. If you have a real number (team size, items handled, time saved), include it. If you don't, describe the scope instead — "for a 3-location business" — rather than guessing a figure.

Keep it scannable

Aim for one to two lines per bullet and three to six bullets per role. Recruiters often skim, so the first few words carry the most weight.
